Pluses: Beautiful scenery and beaches. Many art galleries including Tate Gallery. Nice people. Loads of pubs and restaurants. Great walking along the coast path.

Minuses: Can be expensive - shop around. Horribly crowded in July and August - best to visit outside the summer. Local chavs.

A good place to... Chill out. Eat good food. Enjoy art.
