Roxburghshire

From The Topographical, Statistical, and Historical Gazetteer of Scotland, 1847:
A county in the middle of the border-district, or southern marches of Scotland. It is bounded on the north by Berwickshire; on the north-east and east by Northumberland; on the south-east by Northumberland and Cumberland; on the south-west by Dumfries-shire; and on the west and north-west by Selkirkshire, and the southerly projection of Mid-Lothian.
Also known as Roxburgh.
