Caernarfonshire

From The Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales, (1870-72):
A maritime county of North Wales; bounded, on the north, by Beaumaris bay and the Irish sea; on the north-east, by Denbigh; on the south-east and the south, by Merioneth and by Cardigan bay; on the south-west, by Carnarvon bay; and on the north-west, by the Menai strait, dividing it from Anglesey.
The towns are Carnarvon, Bangor, Pwllheli, Conway, Criccieth, Nevin, and Tremadoc.
