Chepstow is a town in Monmouthshire, Wales. It is in the historic county also called Monmouthshire. (For more information about the ancient counties of the UK, see the historic counties page and the place types page.) The community is on the River Wye.
Also known as Cas-Gwent.
The 13th century Port Wall surrounds the town's centre and castle.
